Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that military veterans had asked the government to create the post of Chief of Defence Staff. While speaking at an event in Jaipur, Singh added, "After becoming Defence Minister, I discussed the proposal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi who gave his instant approval for the same without wasting any time."
