Indian Railways will introduce two non-AC Mumbai local trainsets with Automatic Door Closure systems, to be manufactured by ICF Chennai. They will feature vestibules and roof-mounted ventilation. Additionally, 238 new suburban rakes worth ₹19,293 crore and 15-coach upgrades on the CSMT-Kalyan route have been sanctioned to boost capacity and safety.
