Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu on Monday began a day-long fast demanding special category status for his state as well as fulfilment of promises made during bifurcation of the state. Naidu will also submit a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday. Leaders of various Opposition parties are expected to extend support to Naidu’s protest.
