President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted Harsimrat Kaur Badal's resignation from the Union Cabinet and directed that Cabinet minister Narendra Singh Tomar be assigned the additional charge of her portfolio. Notably, Kaur had resigned as Minister of Food Processing Industries in protest against three farm bills.
