NASA finds possible second impact crater under Greenland ice
short by Kanishka Pandey / on Tuesday, 12 February, 2019
NASA has detected signs of a new meteorite impact crater under northwestern Greenland ice-sheet. The new 36-km-wide crater site is around 183 km away from the previous 31-km-wide crater, the first to be found under one of Earth's continental ice sheets, which was discovered in November 2018. Researchers suspect the new crater site may be at least 79,000 years old.
