The government on Wednesday informed the Rajya Sabha that the National Crime Records Bureau has no separate data on people killed or injured by vigilante groups, mobs or crowds. The government has spread public awareness to curb mob lynching, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said. Service providers have also been sensitised to check false news, he added.
