BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has written to Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh urging the state government to roll out a more "aggressive" action plan to protect Mumbai police force against coronavirus. Adding that he visited several COVID-19 care centres and police stations, Somaiya said, "[Over] 6,000 police/family members are infected/sick, 500 active positive, 40 dead due to COVID-19."
