Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever on Thursday announced it's promoting Nitin Paranjpe, President of Foods and Refreshment division, to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). This makes the 56-year-old only the second Indian after Harish Manwani to be elevated to this role. Notably, Paranjpe served as the CEO of Hindustan Unilever from April 2008 to September 2013.
