Facebook has found that one-third of Americans live in places where there isn't enough local news to launch its local news service 'Today In'. Facebook said it couldn't find five or more recent news articles directly related to those towns in the past 28 days. It said 35% of users in America's Midwest, Northeast, and South live in such places.
