Professor Tim Coulson from Oxford suggests that octopuses, known for their intelligence and adaptability, could inherit the Earth if humans go extinct. Their cognitive abilities, dexterous limbs, and potential to adapt to land might enable them to build underwater civilisations and eventually explore terrestrial life.
