An off-duty pilot, who was travelling in the cockpit of a Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX, saved it by informing the crew to cut power to the motor driving the nose down, Bloomberg reported. Next day in October, the Indonesian plane crash killed all 189 people on board due to a malfunction which pushed the nose of the aircraft down.
