With India restricting Sri Lanka to 86/6 at stumps on Day 1 in the ongoing second Test, Sunil Gavaskar called Mohammad Shami a "workhorse", praising his ability to bowl long spells while maintaining pace. "Shami is somebody who can bowl long spells, sustain that pace, and can build pressure...You need somebody like that. He has been terrific," Gavaskar added.
