Ottawa police have called for reinforcements as thousands of people are expected to be a part of a planned anti-vaccine mandate protest on Saturday. Police are working with national security agencies to identify potential threats to public safety. The protest is in part against a rule, effective from January 15, requiring truckers entering Canada to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
