The European Union's (EU) statistics office Eurostat on Friday said around 18,100 Ukrainians were granted citizenship of EU countries in 2020, mainly by Poland and Germany. Eurostat data showed over 7,29,000 foreign nationals were granted citizenship by the EU's 27 member states. Ukrainians made up 3% of new citizens in 2020. Poland naturalised about 3,900 Ukrainians, most in the EU.
