The University of Oxford has placed an indefinite ban on accepting research grants or donations from Chinese telecoms giant Huawei. Oxford said the ban was linked to "public concerns raised in recent months surrounding UK partnerships with Huawei". The decision came a day after reports said US authorities are investigating Huawei for allegedly stealing trade secrets from US business partners.
