Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleged that the percentage of the Adivasi population in Jharkhand is declining under CM Hemant Soren-led state government. The tribal population has decreased from 35% to 24% due to massive infiltration from across the international border, Shah said. "Adivasi girls are being murdered while the [state] government is indulging in politics of appeasement," Shah added.
