A spokesperson of the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday said that former AAP MLA HS Phoolka’s resignation was accepted in a day after being submitted in the proper format. Phoolka resigned from the State Assembly in October 2018 to press for action against those involved in the Bargari sacrilege cases. Phoolka’s resignation was accepted by the Punjab Speaker on August 9.
