A crew of 24 Indians was rescued from Palau-flagged vessel M/T Marivex after US Navy attacked the ship off the Gulf of Oman coast. The blast ripped a hole in the engine room, prompting the crew to send an SOS message. Indian authorities coordinated with their Omani counterparts, following which the crew was airlifted by an Oman Navy helicopter.
