Ball manufacturer Duke claims their new pink ball can last 80 overs and can be used for day Test matches. "There is no reason why we shouldn't move on to pink balls...all the time," said Duke Managing Director Dilip Jajodia. He added that spectators watching Test matches are being "shortchanged" if the match is affected due to bad light.
