Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, while speaking in Rajya Sabha in debate on Vande Mataram, said, "PM Narendra Modi leaves no chance to insult Jawaharlal Nehru...and Home Minister Amit Shah follows same." He added, "Discussion on Vande Mataram is to deflect attention from the problems country is facing." The debate was part of year-long celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.
