Congress said PM Modi is "hardly worried" and "still indulging in empty slogans and false promises" as the World Bank trimmed India's growth forecast for FY 2022-2023. Forecasting growth at 6.5%, the World Bank said up to 5.6 crore Indians were pushed into poverty in 2020. "Farmers are committing suicide citing PM's inefficiency and apathy," said the Congress.
