PM's Economic Advisory Council has refuted ex-Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian's claims that India's GDP numbers could have been overestimated in recent years. The council said it will come out with a point-by-point rebuttal on the issue in due course. It added that by his own admission, Subramanian "has taken time to understand India's growth numbers and is still unsure".
