Rajnath Singh on Thursday became the first Defence Minister of India to fly in the indigenously-built Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas from the HAL airport in Bengaluru. Prior to this, he had tweeted, "All Set For The Day!" According to reports, the Indian Air Force is likely to purchase 83 LCA Tejas for about ₹45,000 crore.
