A Sultanpur-based woman tried to set herself on fire outside Uttar Pradesh Assembly allegedly after police didn't take action on a rape complaint filed by her recently. She poured kerosene on herself at Gate Number 5 of the Assembly complex but police stopped her, an official said. The woman has been detained and Sultanpur police have been informed, he added.
