A 'rare' pair of sneakers, made by Apple in the early 1990s exclusively for its employees, has been auctioned for $9,687 (about ₹7.3 lakh) after 20 bids. The "Apple Computer Sneakers", sized 9 1/2, are emblazoned with the classic Apple rainbow logo and have been worn before, bearing "discolouration to the edges". The auction was conducted by US-based Heritage Auctions.
