Former RBI board member Indira Rajaraman has said the resignations of RBI Governor Urjit Patel and Deputy Governor Viral Acharya will be "really catastrophic". "(It would) convey... there is political turbulence in India impacting the central bank which is a defender of financial stability," the economist added. Her comments come in the wake of the RBI's board meeting on Monday.
