RBI board member S Gurumurthy has sent a defamation notice to The Economist over its article titled "The person who is doing most to undermine the Reserve Bank of India". The notice states that the article questions Gurumurthy's knowledge of economics. The former Swadeshi Jagran Manch co-convener has sought an unconditional apology from the magazine within the next two issues.
