Refugee footballer Hakeem al-Araibi, who was arrested on November 27, 2018 in Bangkok when he arrived for a honeymoon with his wife, has urged Thailand to not send him to his home country Bahrain. Hakeem, who was granted a refugee status in Australia in 2017, has been given 60 days to prepare a defence against Bahrain's attempt to extradite him.
