The Indian rupee ended at a record low of 79.60 (provisional) against the US dollar on Tuesday. The currency witnessed an intra-day high of 79.53 and a low of 79.66 against the US dollar in Tuesday’s trade. Meanwhile, the euro reached parity with the US dollar for the first time in 20 years on Tuesday.
