Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday visited Crimea to mark the fifth anniversary of the annexation of the region from Ukraine. Putin attended the launch of new power plants in Crimea. Russia has proclaimed March 18 as the 'Day of Crimea's Reunification with Russia', following a referendum on March 16, 2014, which has been termed illegal by the West.
