Russia responsible for killing ex-spy Litvinenko: European court

Russia was responsible for the killing of Alexander Litvinenko, an ex-Russian spy, in 2006, European Court of Human Rights ruled. The ex-Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) agent died after he was poisoned with Polonium 210, a rare radioactive isotope, in London. A UK public inquiry conducted in 2016 had concluded that killing was "probably approved" by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
