Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, the 18-year-old Saudi girl who fled alleged abuse by her family, has been granted asylum in Canada, the Thai immigration chief said. She will leave for Canada from Bangkok on Friday night. Rahaf had last week fled to Thailand saying she feared her family will kill her upon return to Saudi Arabia as she has renounced Islam.
