Supreme Court (SC) on Friday dismissed Nirbhaya gangrape convict Vinay Sharma's plea challenging rejection of his mercy petition by the President. "We don't find any ground for exercise of judicial review of [the President's order] rejecting the petitioner's mercy petition," said SC bench. Sharma moved SC on February 11 seeking commutation of his death sentence to life imprisonment.
