Indian equity benchmark Sensex registered its biggest single-day gain since 2009 surging 8.97% or 2,476 points on Tuesday led by gains in financial stocks. Sensex closed at 30,067 while Nifty 50 closed 8.76% higher at 8,792. IndusInd Bank was the top gainer on both the indices, jumping 25% after it reported a rise in retail deposits and advances on Monday.
