Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Tuesday that the ministry and regulators have been monitoring the developments in the stock market thrice a day. NSE Nifty 50 index rose about 2.5% to close at 7,801.05 points while BSE Sensex ended 2.67% higher at 26,674.03 points. The government has announced a slew of economic measures to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
