The Press Council of India has issued an advisory asking the print media to stop publicity and advertisement of AYUSH-related claims for coronavirus treatment. The council said this needs to be done to prevent spread of misleading information about AYUSH drugs in view of the "emerging threat". Earlier, the Ministry of AYUSH issued directions to stop publicity of such claims.
