The Supreme Court has quashed a notice issued by the Income Tax department seeking to reassess the income of media house NDTV for 2007-08. The re-assessment notice was issued in 2015 after I-T Department alleged that ₹405.09 crore of "unaccounted money" in the company's UK-based subsidiary had escaped assessment. The SC said there had been no "non-disclosure of primary facts".
