Taking note of rising incidents of underage girls and boys eloping, the Surat police will carry out a campaign in government schools to raise awareness about the negative aspects of elopement at such an age. Over 50 child welfare police officers and child psychiatrists have been roped in to create awareness about the POCSO Act as part of the campaign.
