Tesla on Tuesday reached an agreement with Shanghai government to build a new factory that will produce 5 lakh cars a year for its Chinese customers. The construction of the factory will begin once Tesla receives the necessary permits. A Tesla spokesperson said it will take 2-3 years before the new factory will be ramped up to hit the target.
