Thai King granted full ownership of $30-billion royal fortune

Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who assumed throne after the death of his father in 2016, has been granted full ownership of royal assets reportedly worth $30 billion (over ₹2 lakh crore). The ownership transfer implies that royal assets will be subject to the same duties and taxation as would assets belonging to any other citizen.
