Uber has said that "final" findings from an expert analysis of its self-driving technology to check for misappropriation of Waymo's intellectual property (IP) will likely result in a license fee or design changes. The ride-hailing giant said the changes may delay the production of its autonomous vehicle technology. In 2017, Alphabet-owned self-driving startup Waymo had sued Uber for IP theft.
