UK government is opening "the biggest regulatory review in a generation" of current mobility laws, including a 184-year-old law that prohibits riding e-scooters on pavements. However, the government said there were "no current plans to bring forward legislation to legalise e-scooters". The European scooter industry has reportedly gained over $150 million investment from VC firms over last year.
