The Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Unitech promoter Sanjay Chandra for a period of one month. Chandra has been jailed since August 2017 for allegedly cheating homebuyers who booked flats in two proposed housing projects in Gurugram. A bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud allowed Chandra's plea where he said that his parents are COVID-19 positive and hospitalised.
