The US State Department on Friday said that it has terminated five programmes, disguised as "cultural exchanges", with China. The five programmes were fully funded and operated by the Chinese government as "soft power propaganda tools", it added. The department further said that the United States welcomes the reciprocal and fair exchange programmes instead of these "one-way" programmes.
