The US NHTSA has opened two safety probes covering nearly 2.15 lakh Volkswagen and Audi vehicles for reported issues, which include a serious petrol leak under the hood. The largest investigation covers over 1.91 lakh VW Atlas SUVs from the 2018 through 2020 model years. The agency said it has complaints and reports alleging leaks near fuel injectors in engines.
