Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday urged people to vote for BJP in Delhi so that there is "never a Shaheen Bagh". Addressing BJP's social media volunteers in Delhi, Shah said, "On February 8, press the lotus symbol (on EVM machines) so hard that its current forces the protesters at Shaheen Bagh to leave the place by evening."
