Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Turkey will push Syrian government forces away from Turkish posts in Syria's Idlib province this week. Syrian government, backed by Russia, wants to capture Idlib, which is the last remaining rebel stronghold in Syria. Turkey backs the Syrian rebels in the province and has lost 16 soldiers while defending it.
