Officials in Thailand said that a whale has died in the southern part of the nation after swallowing more than 80 plastic bags weighing around 8 kgs. A veterinary team tried stabilising its illness but failed. The nation is one of the world's largest consumers of plastic bags, which results in deaths of hundreds of marine creatures each year.
