A Bengaluru court ordered ex-PM HD Devegowda to pay ₹2 crore to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) Ltd for "loss of reputation" over statements made by him in 2011. In an interview, Devegowda accused NICE of looting public money and called Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project a 'LOOT' project. "Devegowda failed to substantiate the statements," the court said.
