Kate Winslet has donated £17,000 to a Scottish woman whose 12-year-old daughter has severe cerebral palsy, is non-verbal and blind and requires full-time oxygen and at-home care. She was facing high energy bills due to the cost of running life-support for her daughter and had said she would have to put her daughter into care. Winslet said, "It destroyed me."
